Yeah, the relationship between those two books caused some confusion at my house one night. I was really curious about the "various uses of Jerusalem Artichokes". In one aspect it was disappointing, but in another it was delicious.
So I guess that article just didn't rev your engine, eh? I can understand why you'd be flat tired of that kind of thing. It can be exhausting. Those kinds of analogies can run out of gas quickly. They should have put the brakes on that right off the starting line. If they'd just buckle and admit how annoying that is instead of trying to accelerate their article with what they think is high octane wit, they might get a handle on writing something less grating.
